This book is the perfect one to start with if you want to learn about chakras. I already knew a little bit about them from doing meditation & yoga but I wanted to know more. This was the place to start. I found it very easy to read and understand. I took tons of notes, so many that I might as well have bought the book, but I was trying to be more budget and earth friendly by using the library.
The book covers the basics like where your chakras are, the history and background of chakras, how chakras work, and more. Each chakra (there are 7) is covered individually in its own chapter. It explains how to balance your chakras, what it is like when you have a chakra that is too closed or too open and it even has yoga poses, meditations and visualizations to help chakras.
For me, the part I liked best was learning more about each individual chakra. I can tell I have some blocks that I need to work on. Chakras can correlate with certain emotions, traumatic events, health issues. It was very interesting to see things spelled out in a way that made sense and gave me insight into how to work on things.
If you are curious about chakras, I think this is the book to read first. Now I feel much more educated and like I will have a good understanding before I read more books that involve energy and chakras.
