tarte 5-pc Holiday Amazonian Clay Shadow Sticks Collection

One of my holiday treats to myself this year (my BF and I decided to skip presents and splurge on ourselves instead) was the tarte 5-pc Holiday Amazonian Clay Shadow Sticks Collection from QVC.  I was waiting for the 10pm Bare Escentuals show to come on since the one collection I really wanted was going to be shown that presentation and saw this.  I do love a good tarte eye product. These aren't 100% natural but they are close enough, very gentle and also kind to the environment so I went for it.  Besides, this was on One Time Only special price since the Today's Special Value sold out.

I have to say, I was quite surprised by some of the reviews I saw on  I honestly don't know what they are talking about.  Some complained that they crease and don't last and others said there was too much glitter or that the colors were too similar.  I have NO complaints.

These are great colors, right in the best color scheme for me and I am sure they will work on many other skin tones too.  The colors are a great variety.  If you can't tell on the stick, you can see it on your eyes.  They blend together well or do a great single color eye look that is bold.  The colors lasts.  I have very oily lids and never had problems with creasing.  I tend to make sure I apply primer and/or some sort of powder before I apply any eye colors now so there was no creasing to be had.  Normally, with my oily lids, I get a lot of creasing so minimizing oil before applying seems to help.  These are so shimmery, I love them.  They are so holiday.  I see holiday party gowns in these shades.  I don't see any glitter.  I see shimmer.  No one is too old or too young for pretty shimmery colors as long as you wear them right.  They are easy to apply.  If you can use a crayon, you can use these.  I wore them all week to test them in different situations and with different eye bases, sometimes just primer, sometimes just powder, sometimes all of the above.  They lasted well no matter what I used.  These would make a great gift.

I am sad to see that they are not available on the QVC website but keep an eye out.  You never know if they might get more in stock. You can find more Tarte products on their website.

  1. I jumped on this too and am not a fan of them, unfortunately. Oh well, live and learn!

I look forward to reading your comment! Sorry I had to set up moderation because I was getting a lot of spam.
