Eco Tools 6 piece Day to Night Set + Their Cyber Monday Deal

You may have spotted that I placed the latest seasonal release from Eco Tools on my top gift picks for the holiday season.  Well, here is the review!

When I saw the new 6 piece Day to Night set from Eco Tools in Target, I had no idea it had come out but it called to me and I had to have it...especially since I still had a coupon that came with an Eco Tools kit I bought last year. Yay!  It was one of those days when I really needed a treat and this was it.  Who can beat a pick me up for yourself for less than $20?

I couldn't wait to test the brushes out.  You can 5 brushes and a cute zippered clutch.  It comes with a pointed concealer brush, a round powder brush, a detailed lip liner brush, a stay-there shadow brush and a smudge brush.  What a great variety to really get the most bang for your buck! This really is a set to do an overall look with or bring with you for touch ups or, as the name says (light bulb just went off in my head) you can throw this in your bag to bump your look up from day to night.  I can't believe this is the first time I really thought about that idea LOL

The clutch is great too.  I absolutely love the color and design.  Inside you have elastic holders to keep your brushes safe and in place and it zips up small enough to fit in most purses.

The brushes are the same great quality I have come to know and love from Eco Tools.  These brushes have nice sized handles, not too long or too short. The bristles are so soft and gentle on your skin but they do great work.  The concealer brush is a lot smaller than what I am used to for a concealer brush but it shocked me.  This brush works great!  If you have spot touching to do, this is the brush to use.  I really was impressed such a tiny brush could conceal so much.  The eye brush is great. I absolutely love it for applying shadow.  The smudge brush is just what you need to do a smudged out liner look.  The lip brush is really nice too. Let's not forget that powder brush.  I have been loving this to apply mineral veil which is probably what I would reapply for an evening look with this brush too. It makes a great finishing powder brush.

This kit retails for $16.99.  I found mine at Target but I think you should order from Eco Tools site on Cyber Monday if you want this kit.  You want to know why?  Eco Tools is having a Cyber Monday special, get 50% off EVERYTHING on their site plus free shipping!!!!  It starts tonight at 12am CST.  The price will show up in your shopping cart.  No promo code needed.  Get your Eco Tools now! Get them for you, for gifts, as stocking stuffers!  Trust me, these brushes are great!!!   You just need to shop at http://www.ecotools.com/  These prices are not good at other retailers who sell Eco Tools.

Andalou Naturals Kombucha Enzyme Exfoliating Peel

One thing I love to get to test out is special skincare treats like scrubs, masks and peels.  Today I get to share a great natural peel with you, Andalou Naturals Kombucha Enzyme Exfoliating Peel.   Andalou Naturals sent this for me to try out for review.

I have used it a few times now and I have to say, each time I can really see a difference in my skin, especially as you keep up with it.  It suggests that you use it 1-3 times per week as needed. This particular peel is intended for active & oily skin.  My skin is pretty normal but it can be on the oily side and I can get blackheads so a good mask and peel are always part of my regimen.  This peel works well for me about twice per week.

You apply a thin layer of this.  It doesn't sting or tingle like chemical peels.  It applies and stays clear.  You leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse with cool water.  That's it!

It might say that this is intended for clarifying but it really brightened my face and my skin looked fresh and awake.

You can find this peel at andalou.com/ along with their other products. This retails for only $14.95 which is a great deal for a good peel. This would be good for most skin types.  Get it for a teen or adult. I think this is very versatile. The ingredients list is amazing.  I am also very psyched that I found a local natural shop that sells this brand, yay!

My Natural Beauty Holiday Gift Guide for 2012

It is that time of year again.  I have been seeing tons of new items and sales in emails, on facebook and twitter and everywhere else too so I thought it was time to put together my Holiday Gift Guide for 2012.  Here you will find my top choices in natural or low-chemical beauty products that you can gift yourself, a friend or a loved one this season.

Rad Soap Co's Wonderland Chaga Duo -  I love to support local businesses, especially when their products are awesome. I discovered Rad Soap last year at a local arts & crafts fest and went back this year to buy a bunch more.  While standing waiting to cash out, I smelled something so wonderful, I had to know what it was and started sniffing things...aha! I was smelling Wonderland Chaga.  Chaga has some wonderful natural benefits and this smells divine!  $35 for the set.

Create Your Own Soap Gift Box - Another great local company is McGillycuddy's Naturals.  Their products are great and they are "good people" so I love to give them a shout out.  I learned to make soap with them last year.  This year, I am going to recommend you gift someone a custom soap box.  Pick 5 of the scents and types you want all for $20.95.

Lipstick Purse (or any other bag) from Love Shine! - This is an amazing shop I finally got to visit in East Village, NYC and I had to get a yoga mat bag and a tote. I loved everything there.  I use the tote daily for my work stuff, books, iPad, etc.  The yoga mat bag has plenty of room for my yoga mat and then some.  It is all hand-sewn & the fabric is high quality and the guy who makes this stuff is a really nice guy.  Go check them out! Prices range.

Badger Sleep Balm Ornament -  Badger has ornaments with their balms this year.  How cute!!! Make sure you get my Facebook Updates - The latest!

First, they made it so you need to pay to promote your posts to people who like them. I have yet to make any money from blogging so that isn't doable and I read that it barely does enough to be worth the cost.  The suggestion was to have users mouse over the like button on your page and make sure they check, Show in News Feed.

Apparently, that was not enough and next, it was suggested that users add your page to an Interest List.

Well, now THAT isn't enough to make sure you see everything on Facebook from pages you already like.  The latest suggestion is to mouse over the Liked button on the page and select, Get Notifications.  Hey, it is worth a try, right?  Try it out and let me know if it works for you!

Alima Pure - Black Tie Gala Eyes and a full Black Tie Gala look

I reviewed the Black Tie Gala Face Collection from Alima Pure and now I get to review the Black Tie Gala Eye Collection. I received samples of this for review and was so happy I looked in the envelope and spotted this set of samples that I almost overlooked.  Yikes!

When these came out of the wrapping, I instantly saw sparkles and got really excited.  I am a girl who loves some sparkle.  These are great seasonal colors.  I wore them more soft but you can see from my swatches, these colors can be very bold, especially when applied wet.  They are versatile and gorgeous.  Wear them on their own, all together, with other colors.  Whatever you want.  You can really come up with a lot of great color combos with these. Then you can add them to the Face Collection for an all over look that is divine.  These really made me think holidays but I would wear these shades year round.  You can find this set at www.alimapure.com.This set is 3 full size eye colors for $36.

Here are some pics!  (Sorry about the weird mesh affect, I used natural sunlight and it was so bright you can make our the window screen shadow LOL)
