Badger Damascus Rose SPF 16 Face Sunscreen Lotion

Finding a natural sunscreen is extremely important to me for 3 reasons. #1 I am extremely allergic to sunscreen chemicals.  #2 I tend to burn more now that I am on birth control pills. #3 I want to keep my skin healthy and protected.

Badger sent me their new Damascus Rose SPF 16 Face Sunscreen Lotion to test out and review.  I tested it out on vacation on a bright sunny day, at the lake and at a cookout.  I have to say, this is a really nice natural sunscreen for your face.  Most natural sunscreens are a bit heavy and oily so it is hard to find one you want to put on your face. This one looks opaque when you pump it but blends out nicely and doesn't feel heavy at all.  My skin loved it.  It also works great for your neck and decolletage.  I even tested it out on my arms one time.

I know many need some sort of sunscreen for their face, even if they wear mineral makeup that has built in sun protection. This would be great worn under mineral makeup or on its own.  I opted to just wear this to the lake.  I think I might use this most on my neck and decolletage since they get more exposure to the sun and are very delicate skin areas.

This is light & creamy, blends out well and smells delightful.  It is a broad spectrum sunscreen that protects from both UVA and UVB rays and is free of nanoparticles.  They are also Leaping Bunny certified so they are cruelty free. You get a .85 oz bottle for $17.99 and they frequently have sales going on so it is great to keep an eye out for those and stock up. Badger continues to be my #1 choice in natural sunscreen for body and now face.

  1. Heather I wonder if I can wear this my BE mineral fdtn. I have a hard time with sunscreen. Some brands break me out and leave me so oily so I just use whatever is built in with my moisturizers or makeup. I have sensitive/acne prone skin. But this looks like a lovely product.
