Dr. Hauschka skincare is all natural and not greenwashed like many out there. You can read and recognize most of the ingredients on the label. The company has also been doing skincare for over 40 years. They have done work in both skincare but also holistic remedies.
I went without any make up on, which was hard since I had a couple pimples last week. When it was time for my appointment, we sat in the cafe area, which wasn't open yet, so it was nice and quiet. She started by asking what my routine is now and what products I use. She seemed very happy that I wear mineral make up. She explained a lot about the line and the products and how to use them. She told me that my skin looks pretty good and doesn't seem to have any problem concerns so for this line she suggests I go with "normal" though I might want to switch to oily for moisturizer when it gets warmer out.
From the sounds of their products and the way they suggest you use them, they are very much a less is more kind of brand and show a strong belief in being gentle and kind to your skin. Even with toners, moisturizers and cleansers, they go for an application of gently patting and pressing it into your skin instead of any vigorous rubbing or circling like many of us are used to. She also said that if you wear very gentle natural make up that is light, you don't need to do a deep cleanse as often, maybe just a couple times per week. She suggests a daily cleanse to simply clean your make up off and deep cleansing less often. They also suggest that you don't apply moisturizer, cream or oil at night before bed. They suggest instead doing a light cleanse and toner and then let your skin breathe overnight as that is when it heals and rejuvenates itself.
Her skin was gorgeous and she looked very natural and not too made up so I think I might follow her tips and see how I do. Their products are not on the cheap end but they seem to be extremely high quality and long lasting. I plan to review all the items I bought and samples I received on my blog.

This is fascinating! Good for you to try something new. I tend to be a "same old same old" kind of woman!

I love that brand! I have that toner, actually. I only have a travel size version, but I think it's really good.
