100% Pure Organic Argan Oil

100% Pure kindly sent me some of their Organic Argan Oil to try out.   I have to say, simply looking at the price alone, this is a great deal.  You get 1 fl oz of organic argan oil for $19.  If you have shopped around for argan oil, you know it often runs for a lot more money.

Info from the 100% Pure website:

100% Natural, 100% Vegan, Gluten Free
100% Pure Organic Argan Oil rich with vitamin E, phenols, carotenes, squalene, and essential fatty acids to deeply moisturize, nourish and soften. Famous for its healing and restorative properties, Argan Oil can be used on clean skin, hair, cuticles or anywhere else that needs moisture and softening. Gluten free.

Ingredient: Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil (100% Pure Certified Organic Argan Oil)

At first I wasn't sure about this oil or any oil for my face.  I tend to be a combo of sensitive and oily skinned so the thought seemed wrong but the more I read, I realized you can't think of oils like that.  Skin treatment oils like argan should not make your skin more oily.  I tried it out on my hands because they were dry and they seemed to feel nice though it wasn't as moisturizing as a hand cream.  Next, I did a clay face mask and then applied this to my face.  It actually felt good on my skin and you really want to use high quality stuff on your face after a heavy exfoliation or mask because your skin is ready to absorb. I was happy to say, my face liked this a lot.  I felt a little too greasy in my T-zone area but I was able to blot and felt better.  I think the use of oils is very much trial and error and getting used to them.  I am happy with how my skin felt after this organic argan oil and think I will keep using it as an after face mask treat.  I don't think my skin would be good with this on before attempting to apply make up but if I am doing an evening skin ritual, this works well.  It all depends on your skin type.  If you are looking to try out argan oil for the first time or have bought it in the past but want a more affordable option, I suggest you give this one a look.  I actually read recently a recommendation to massage some oil into your skin before cleansing with a gentle facial cleanser.  I think I am going to try that next.

  1. The only 100% Pure product I've tried is the Peach-tinted concealer and sadly, it didn't work for me :( It triggered my eczema and the coverage was not suitable with my type of dark circles which is the bluish kind. I think it'll work better on the brownish shade of dark circles.

  2. I love Argan Oil! I have only recently started using it and I love how easily it absorbs. It feels really nice on my hands or my face. I have very dry skin so I keep it in my kitchen (I spend a lot of time in there) and anytime I'm feeling dry, I put a little on and it absorbs right in.

The 100% Pure concealer and foundations don't work for all skin tones, but they definitely have a skincare and bath & body product that will work for just about anyone! Awesome natural products!

  3. Thanks for this review Heather. After you've used it for several consecutive days, will you update us? I acquired a sample of another 100% Argan oil and it did not make my slick tzone worse. I've only used it on my face once, but I plan to to continue. ~melody in oregon~

  4. Thanks for the review Heather! I use grapeseed oil as an eye makeup remover and moisturizer in the spring/summer months. I've been interested in argan oil for awhile and may try it now... thanks again!
