Bare Escentuals Girls, Ladies, Fans...Are you READY?

Today is the day Bare Escentuals launches their new READY compact eye palettes.  You can get a duo or quad.  They have worked for a while to create solid shadows without lots of binders and icky ingredients in them.  I get to see these and try them out tonight at my local BE boutique and should hopefully pick one up there.  Then on Saturday, I am going to NYC for one of the BE Events so I will probably buy more of them there.  Also, BE is on QVC releasing these compacts and they are available at Sephora (at least at .com). Stay tuned for my blog posts with pics and reviews.

Goat Milk Stuff Bath Fizzies

pic of small bath fizzies from Goat Milk Stuff website
Tonight, after a long day, I decided it would feel great to relax in a nice hot bath. I went to my bath supply drawer and decided to try my Goat Milk Stuff Bath Fizzy. I had picked it up when I ordered deodorant from them a while back.

I have to say, this was a very moisturizing and luxurious bath.  I used the Black Raspberry scent.  It smelled amazing.  My boyfriend commented that he could smell it from outside the bathroom and that it smelled sweet and girly and he liked it. LOL I always take baths with the door cracked open so the scent was able to waft out.  It wasn't so strong that he smelled it through a closed door.  The scent lasted and my skin felt very soft and smooth.  I could feel the oils on my skin but didn't feel greasy. I am really bad about remembering to apply lotion or body cream as often as I should so my skin loved this.  The boyfriend also commented on how soft my skin felt.  I am going to give these bath fizzies a big stamp of approval.

Not only do they smell and feel great, they don't cost too much and are natural! They also make bath bombs as well as other products.  If you place an order, you can get samples of their soaps which smell awesome. I can't wait to try more.

Ingredients Baking Soda, Citric Acid, Sweet Almond Oil, Goat Milk Whey, Essential or Fragrance Oil.

BE a Force of Beauty - Bare Escentuals new ad campaign

Many of you have heard or seen about Bare Escentuals' new ad campaign, BE a Force of Beauty.  I know plenty of you have mentioned seeing the commercials on TV.  Just in case you haven't, or in case you have but have not seen all the videos, I wanted to give them some props here on my blog.  I love the idea behind this campaign and think these women are truly inspiring, real and down-to-earth.

This is the page on bareescentuals.com about the campaign: BE a Force of Beauty

This is a great article in the NY Times about the campaign: NY Times - Pretty Isn't Good Enough

Another article: Can You See Beauty Without Ever Seeing It?

There are quite a few other articles out there about the campaign. I don't want to overload you with them so on with the videos!

Bare Escentuals: Spotlight on High Shine

I picked up this kit at the BE boutique during Glammy Night.  I wasn't sure I would but they used it during my makeunder and I loved it.  Once they said the high shine color had a green tone to it, I knew I was probably sold.  To see pics of it on me from that night, you can see it here:  http://www.beautyaunatural.com/2011/08/bare-escentuals-glammy-night-makeunder.html

I love this kit and think that Luster might be one of my fave high shine colors.  It is gorgeous! I already had rock star but it is a mini so it can't hurt to have a spare.  You can never have too much prime time eye primer so the kit is really worth it, especially for $26.

100% Pure Pot Rouge Blush

I've been wanting to try the 100% Pure Pot Rouge Blushes for a while. I picked up the baby pink shade in their special value set last month and then 100% Pure sent me Rosy to try out.  I really like these.  They are quick to apply and very creamy.  When applied, they seem to turn more powdery so they don't feel wet or sticky on your face.  I find that they look really pretty on.  Baby Pink has a hint of sparkle and Rosy is more of a solid shade. They work well alone or with a full face of make up.  I can wear them with my Bare Minerals foundation easily.  Here are some pics!
Baby Pink (purchased this one)
Rosy (sent to me by 100% Pure)

I am in an affiliate program with this company. As noted above, the Rosy blush was sent to me by 100% Pure.  My opinion on this item is not swayed because of how I obtained the product.

100% Pure Lip Glazes - Love!

100% Pure had a special on their lip glazes last week, 25% off so I caved and ordered 4 new ones.  I already had 3 that I love.  They got here amazingly fast.  I tried them out and am really happy I ordered.  I took some pics of my whole lip glaze collection to share with you. They are a notch above tinted lip balms but not quite a lipstick.  Very creamy and moisturizing, some are gorgeous and sheer and others are more opaque.

The first 4 are the new ones, last 3 are the ones I already had
Swatches follow the color order listed in the pic above

My Lavera Eyeliner and Lip Gloss Haul

I've been wanting to try Lavera for a while since it appeared in the natural beauty aisle in Target but could never figure out what to try.  We stopped at a Target that was remodeling so they had a lot on clearance and apparently, their whole Lavera selection was marked down so I thought this was the day to grab a few things to try out.

I picked up 2 liquid liners (1 black, 1 brown), a pencil eyeliner (#3 Blue) and 3 lip glosses ( #3 Magic Red, #5 Sensational Brown, #6 Burgundy). The liquid liners are vegan and (as stated on the Lavera website) are made from a "specially formulated infusion of organic flower extracts and nourishing organic oils feel natural and non-irritating on the eye lid."  The glosses are (as stated on the Lavera website) "Made with 100% pure crushed minerals for shimmer, plus anti-aging sun protection and superhydrating oils of vitamin E and jojoba. Natural aromatics add a 100% of natural flavor: vanilla, almond, cocoa, or berry."

The liquid liners apply in a smooth precise thin line.   The pencil liner is a bold beautiful color.  The lip glosses sparkle and smell great.  I am so happy I finally picked these up and the clearance price didn't hurt at all.

 Here are some pics!

Bare Escentuals New Brow Pencil

I behaved during the last QVC Bare Escentuals shows and only ordered the new Brow Pencil Duo.  I've been enjoying trying this one out.  I find them to be very easy to use.  I am lazy about my brows so this is a lot more motivating since I can quickly grab it, fill in the gaps and straighten up my wayward brows.  I think it looks pretty natural.  It is water, sweat and smudge proof.  The shade is lighter than my natural brows but I think anything darker would probably look too dark on me. The pencil is really thin and fine so I think you can easily get a more natural looking brow with it. I think it is better to be light handed with it and layer your way to get the look you want.  You can go lighter or more bold.

Here are some pics!

Size comparison with a Big & Bright Liner
Before in sunlight (I am not wearing any other eye make up so the brows are the focus of the pics)
After in sunlight
Before in Ottlite lighting (ugh, I had to tweeze after this LOL)
After in Ottlite Lighting
