The Natural Deodorant Quest - Good News!

After my last post on my never ending natural deodorant quest, I kept looking.  The 2 top choices I had come across didn't have aluminum but were not as natural as I would like. I am not one of those girls who "glows."  Sorry Miss Etiquette but I sweat! (tee hee, that rhymed)  Well, I believe I FINALLY found 2 top contenders.

Contender #1 Bubble & Bee Pit Putty

Pros:
  • 100% natural, absolutely nothing bad in there. Ingredients: Organic arrowroot powder, organic extra virgin coconut oil, organic lemon essential oil, organic clove essential oil.
  • Comes with a special guarantee that you can get it replaced and try a new one if it doesn't work for you (not if you just don't like it).
  • Available in multiple scent options
  • Cost is under $10
Observations:
  • A little hard to get used to application process, you need to be very specific to not make a big mess
  • You need to apply immediately after your shower so you can't store it anywhere besides the bathroom
  • You won't smell like BO at the end of the day but I felt like I was stinky.  My BF kept telling me I smelled like italian food LOL
  • I think it got too hot and damp in my bathroom which caused the deodorant to crumble a bit when I tried to apply.  If that wasn't the issue, then I had extended it too high.  I am usually fumbling around and tired out in the morning so this might not be the right one for me.
Score:
  • I give this one a 9 out of 10

Contender #2 Goat Milk Stuff Natural Deodorant
Still in trial phase, doesn't even have packaging yet

Pros:
  • Currently in testing phase to facebook fans so they are taking feedback to make the product the best it can be
  • 100% natural, absolutely no bad stuff. Ingredients: Cocoa Butter, Baking Soda, Arrowroot Powder, Sunflower Oil, Salt, Essential Oils.
  • Now 2 scents available
  • You get free soap samples with your order (and they smell yummy!)
  • Cost is under $10 and should stay in that range after trial period is over
Observations:
  • Warms to your skin and gets creamy as you apply
  • Doesn't leave residue on your clothes
  • My BF doesn't comment on my aroma and I don't sense any stinkiness, event on a hot day or after a workout
  • I am not in love with the scent of this deodorant but it isn't bad either.  I think I might try the tea tree only option and see how it compares, though the lemongrass scent might be what helps cover up my stinky pit smell.
Score:
  • 10 out of 10, Yes, we have a winner!!!! After years of searching, I think I finally found a natural deodorant that doesn't give me a rash, keeps my armpit skin soft and smooth, doesn't cost a fortune and it works!!!

I am not affiliated with this company. I purchased these products myself for personal use unless otherwise noted.
