Bare Escentuals Color Shift Lilac/Gray Tips and Pics

I wore the new Lilac/Gray Color Shift eyecolor from Bare Escentuals both yesterday and today.  Yesterday, being Monday morning, I was way too tired and applied as I normally would and the eyecolor was mostly gray.  Today, I was more alert and took my time and it came out like I hoped.

Tips:

Your best bet is to dip the brush into the eye color and then dab it in the lid.  Only dab or pat if you want to keep the original color.  I was able to pat the color on my lids.  It took a couple dabs into the color and then pats on the lid to get the coverage I wanted.

To get the shift color, just apply with more pressure, buff or use the smudging end of the brush.  I was able to apply the gray shade in my crease with the tapered shadow end of the brush just by using more pressure.  Then I went back with the smudging end of the brush to fully bring out the shift color.

I am wearing:
  • BE Prime Time for face
  • BE foundation in Fairly Light
  • BE Bisque as concealer
  • BE Faux Tan Matte
  • BE Blush in TTYL
  • BE Mineral Veil
  • BE Prime Time for eyes
  • BE Tiara from lash to brow
  • BE Colorshift Lilac/Gray on lids left as Lilac
  • BE Colorshift Lilac/Gray smudged Gray in crease & v
  • BE Brocade liner wetlined
  • BE Flawless Definition Volumizing Mascara in Black
  • BE Buxom Lip Gloss in Leslie Couture

  4. SO pretty! I think I like this one even better than the bronze/green color shift! It really makes your eyes sparkle and look brighter and the gray lilac combo really adds depth and enhances your eyes! Simply GORGE! The lip colors on both the posting of the two colors are SO pretty! I love the coture Leslie and Lisa. They are so pretty. I have never seen the French Toast "in person" so I am not sure of the tone or depth. It looked really beautiful in the bronze/green pics but I wondered if you used any lipstick under the gloss on either "look"? Thank you for sharing and inspiring us to looking so good, which then makes us feel good too! thank you for your great work!

  5. Thanks Mia! If I use a lipstick under a gloss, I list it in what I am wearing. Hope that helps!
