My Bare Escentuals tips for The Perfect Gift and High Shine Tubes

I managed to find the email of the tips and just about anything I could come up with about the Nov 13 TSV, The Perfect Gift Collection and the new High Shine tube eye colors.  These are the tips, combos, etc that I came up with the night that Leslie Blodgett called me and asked me to send her my tips for these items.  I wanted to share them with you!

A high shine tip I have is that they are perfect to toss in your purse and use to pump up your day look for a special evening or night on the town.  No spill and no brush needed!

Another high shine tip: With high shine colors that I like together, I often like to apply the lighter shade on the inner 1/3 - 1/2 of my lid and then the more colorful or darker color on the outer 1/2 - 2/3 and then blend.  It really gives a brightening effect to the eye and the colors play well off each other. This would work great with the pairings you are showing, patina & glisten and moonshine & frost.

Here are the tips I have for the Perfect Gift Collection TSV:

It is very versatile, you can go very light and natural with it or play it up for an evening look. The eye colors are a bit misleading in the jar. Creme de la creme has a hint of green and magnifique has a purple tone.  This makes them not only go great together because of the contrast but they can easily be used with other colors.  An easy way to venture out would be to use creme de la creme with other greens and magnifique with other purples. A lot of people are afraid to use colors outside of the collections and kits they come in.

A general eye technique that I use that would also work for these colors is what I call double dipping.  I use my eye brush for the lighter color first, then I don't clean it or switch brushes and switch to the darker color with the same brush.  I think it helps blend colors a bit without heavy blending after applying and adds a little hint of the first color to the rest of the eye which is especially great if this color has some sparkle or glimmer to it.

For a more classic day to day look:
creme de la creme applied the way Bravon likes to - use the double end precision brush upright, with the contour end and apply from lash to crease.
Then magnifique in the crease & V with the pointed end of the brush.  Line with Black Coffee on upper lashline and outer 1/4 of lower lashline, then smudge.

For a more smokier look:
creme de la creme as a base color, from lashes to just above the crease, then apply magnifique on outer 1/2-1/3 of lid and in crease & V, Black Coffee on upper lashline as liner, magnifique on lower lashline dry lined with heavenly liner brush

For a fun evening or party look, foil creme de la creme on lid, then apply magnifique wet (foil/watercolor) on outer 1/3 of the lid and dry on the crease & V with a heavier hand. Line with Black Coffee!

I also like the idea of wetlining with magnifique.  You could double line too. First wetline with magnifique and then go over it with black coffee.

With black coffee, or any of the Big & Bright liners, I like to apply it to the upper lashline, smudge it and simply smudge the smudger on the lower lashline because there is usually enough color on there for a softer liner look on the lower lashline.

When I wore this collection I used Opal on the center of the eye from lash to brow as a highlighter. Bravon taught me this and I use it all the time.  This is why I now need a tub of Opal!

I like creme de la creme as a highlighter on the inner corner of the eye.

Avant-Garden- a fun light blush.  You can layer it more than some other blushes.  I like it use it on my eyes to warm them up or just as a light day off lid color. I like that it is soft but has that hint of sparkle.

The Tinted Hydrating MV is fabulous!  I think I like it even better than regular tinted or illuminating tinted MV.  It feels lighter on and looks lighter too.  I tend to save the other tinted MV's for warmer weather months but this is a year round MV to add a hint of warmth & much needed moisture which helps in the colder weather when we get a lot less sunshine and our skin gets dry.

Both Avant-Garden and Tinted Hydrating MV are great to re-apply anytime throughout the day to freshen your look.

Best of the best! The new lippie.  Pretty amazing has great texture.  It is so smooth and not sticky at all.  I love how soft the applicator is.  I usually only need to apply one swipe on my lower lip, then press my lips together and then touch up.  The color is long lasting. I am guessing it would last even longer if I used a lip liner as a base first.  It gives a great sexy pout on full lips and I am guessing it helps thinner lips stand out more.

If I want pretty amazing rouge to look less bold, I apply it and then blot on a tissue to soften it.  The color still lasts and it still looks glossy, just not as bold.

If anyone is afraid of it getting on their teeth, they just need to use the old trick of sticking their pinky in their mouth and puckering around it as they pull it out.

Flawless Volumizing Mascara is my all-time favorite.  I love to apply it by wiggling it on my lashes, then I blink into the brush.  Then I push it up every so slightly while it is on my lashes so that it helps curl my lashes more.

Those are all the tips I sent Leslie taken right from the email I sent to her.  I hope you enjoy them and maybe even try some of them out!!!!!!!!!
