Brush Series: Concealer Brushes

Next in my series of brushes are the concealer brushes. I am going to discuss the Bare Escentuals Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush and the Bare Escentuals Maximum Coverage Face Brush.

The Max Coverage Concealer Brush:

This brush has multiple uses.  I actually own and use 2 of them constantly.

First, I use this brush for concealing or pre-concealing.  I will swirl the brush into BE Bisque and then pat it onto areas needing more coverage.  Usually, this is around my nose and the corners of my eyes where I get a lot of redness.  It is also good for covering up blemishes or other spots that need more coverage.

Another user for this brush is for Prime Time eye primer.  I use a 2nd brush for this because you don't want the prime time for eyes getting mixed in with your bisque, the brush will get kind of gross.  For prime time use, I squeeze a small amount out onto the brush and then apply it directly to my eyelid with the brush.  You need to make sure you clean this brush more often than others because the prime time builds up on the bristles.  I find that Burt's Bees Baby Shampoo really cleans it well.

Small amount of prime time, this is actually more than I needed for 1 lid
The Max Coverage Face Brush:
I use this brush to apply foundation in areas that my kabuki brush can't really reach.  It is best not to buff your kabuki into the delicate skin around your eyes so this is a great place to use this brush.  I learned this from Bravon: After he applies the bisque, he uses the big daddy concealer brush (max coverage face brush) with foundation to gently press and roll it with your finger pressed into the bristles and onto your cheek.  You do this between the eye and cheek area to blend the concealer under the eyes with the rest of the foundation on the face. Bravon also uses this brush to blend out cheek colors.
