San Francisco - Girls Getaway with Leslie Day 1

I got to San Francisco at 10:50pm Thursday evening.  I went right to the shuttle and got to my hotel pretty quickly.  I was exhausted so I was glad there wasn't too much of a wait.  I got to the Ritz-Carlton and checked in, met my roomie and got ready for bed.  I got my wifi set up for the IPOD touch and got in touch with everyone from home and tried to sleep.  Even though I was exhausted, I couldn't get much sleep.

On the first official day of the trip, Friday, I woke up and got ready and my roomie and I went out to find breakfast.  We went to Dottie's True Blue Cafe. There was a long line but it was well worth it, absolutely delicious.  I had seen them on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives on Food Network.  I got the french toast, sooo sweet and yummy.
From there we went to Union Square to get Muni Passes and hop on a cable car to Fisherman's Wharf.  We did lots of walking, looking at lots of shops, went to Pier 39.  Then we walked to Ghiradeli Square and had dessert.  I found some cool earrings from a vendor in the park across the street where there are all kinds of arts and crafts vendors.  From there we walked to Union Street for shopping. We stopped at a cool jewelry shop called Favor before we got there and I got some more earrings.  Then on to Union for some Lush shopping (got tons of bath stuff) and browsing lots of other shops.  By then we were worn out and decided to take a bus.  Of course at that time of day, all the buses were full and kept passing by until finally one picked us up, though they kept picking people up with barely any room on the bus.

We got off the bus at California Street and took the cable car to the hotel.  We freshened up and I met my other roomie (I had one for the main 2 days of the trip and 1 for the extra day before and after). I got dressed up and we went to the cocktail party where we met up with everyone from the getaway.  I met Leslie, her husband Keith, Bravon and many other Bare Escentuals employees (waves hi to Hailee, such a sweetheart, hope I spelled your name right) and some friends I have known for years online and now I finally met them in person.  Such a fun night of Baretini drinks, picture taking and craziness.  I think my eyes are tired from lack of sleep and too many cocktails LOL The contest this year was to decorate a Bare Minerals lid, I of course did mine last minute the night before at 2am and glued my art inside the cap instead of outside, oh well, I guess it stands out that way.
From there I went out to dinner with my fabulous friends.  We headed to Belden Taverna, on a mission to find soup for Robin who is on a liquid diet.  They seated us with the whole upstairs to ourselves.  We had so much fun! I had a really yummy fish n chips.
From there, it was a quick stop at walgreens to buy water since it was pricey at the hotel and trudge up the steep hills of San Francisco back to the hotel. Pin It StumbleUpon
