Bare Escentuals and the wonder of the Double Ended Rock n Roll Brush

I posted my fave BE brushes yesterday and was asked what is so different about the brush from the Rocker Eye Tutorial, AKA the double ended rock n roll brush.  I was not sure I could explain without using photos &/or video so here it is, in a blog post.  Here is the BE how to info for the Rocker Eye Tutorial which explains how to use the brush for this look: Rocker Eye How To

The Rock n Roll Brush is not like any other brush I have gotten from BE.  The liner end is one of the best liner brushes, very pointed and applies very smooth.  Great wet or dry.  Then the smudger end is great for applying color to the lid, layering color over other colors, especially great for colors with more sparkle to them and of course is also great for smudging.  I love double ended brushes, especially for travel, 2 for 1!

You can go dramatic and rock star with it, you can go more subtle with the same colors, it all depends on how you apply.  This brush is so versatile and it is the brush I used to line my eyes for the professional photo shoot I did a couple months ago.  Here is my full Rocker Eye look that I wore to see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs last year:

This is one of the brushes I brought with me to San Francisco and I lined with it almost everyday when I was there.  I wanted to make sure  my eye make up rocked while I was at a Bare Escentuals event!

That is what I have to say about it and here is what other people have to say:

"I love the shadows, but the brush is what really makes this kit for me because it's awesome. The smudge end has kind of changed the way I apply smoky eye makeup - and definitely for the better.  It's has super short bristles and really lets you get the smudgy effect that I love.  (It sort of looks like I fell asleep with my eye makeup on and went out after I woke up, which sounds... ugly, but actually looks really good)."  from Blog:
