Prepping for a big 1/2 jar BE sale

Now that I have moved to a new place, I seem to be more prepared to part with some of my BE collection. It also seems I have finally kicked the collecting bug and don't feel the need to have colors just because I don't have that one yet.

I went through lots of colors I was unsure about and did swatches on my arm and made a list. Some surprised me by looking prettier than I remembered so I left them off the list, others just didn't do it for me or I knew I had too many similar shades. I ordered my 5 gram jars and once they arrive, I will be listing many 1/2 jars of eye colors on the BE Addicts and BBC forums on Delphi. This will likely be after the new year. Please keep an eye out for my sale appearing soon in the forum swap/sell folders!

Since these will be open cosmetics, I cannot sell them on Ebay. BE Addicts swap/sell is limited access so if you do not have access now, you will not be able to get in. BBC has an open swap/sell forum, as long as you are a member, you should have access though when new your posts do not appear right away. Pin It StumbleUpon

Christmas Cookie Baking

We are almost fully moved into the new apartment. There are still a few boxes at the old places and things to get out of storage and of course, tons of unpacking to do. I finally did some baking and I have to say, I am loving the new kitchen. I baked my 2 fave christmas cookie recipes, though you really could make them any time of year. Both recipes are from so I am including links.

New Apartment

My BF and I finally found a place that suits us. We have moved into a lovely 2 bedroom upstairs apartment in the nicer section of our town. It is an older home that is being renovated. Our apartment was finished first. They are still working on the downstairs apartment. The move was hard and we still have more to pick up from the old place. I cannot wait to just have everything here and not have to carry anything big up the stairs again.

The apartment is very energy efficient. It has a new energy efficient furnace, new windows, good insulation and a tankless water heater. Unfortunately, the water heater just died on us but should be quickly repaired as the replacement part came today. Just waiting for the landlord to come install it.

Once we get more settled in and unpack everything, I will be sure to post some pictures. For now, you get to see my Christmas tree which is the first full size tree I have ever had of my own. It is living in the tower room which I have taken over as my own.

Old Deerfield Christmas Sampler 2009

We went to the Old Deerfield Christmas Sampler again this year. It has become an annual tradition. It was a crazy weekend for me as I was moving, going to 2 Thanksgiving dinners, throwing a baby shower and going on this trip. I needed it though. It was such a fun de-stressing day. It has grown to be a trip with my friend Denise, my mom and my friend Jessica. We go to the Sampler and then go eat at Bertucci's and watch my mom and Denise get silly on 1 glass of wine.

Here are some of the cool items I bought at this year's show.

Cool glass topped jar from Zyra Clay & Glass Studios:

Awesome pendant made from recycled bottle caps by Beth Crowell

My usual haul from my all-time fave Lisa Bess, hard to do the colors justice in the picture:

This booth had so many cool paper crane items but I had to get the earrings, you could not beat her prices and she was really nice. These happen to be from a piece or origami paper that she only got 1 sheet of.

Some natural stone jewelry I got at 2 different booths, I can't find their info right now...maybe later. The pendants were 3 for $12 and the earrings were $12
