The Elusive Starbucks Molasses Cookie

One of my favorite cookies (and frankly the only reason I had to go to Starbucks since I don't drink coffee) the molasses cookie, is no longer being carried at any Starbucks in my area. I am on the hunt for this cookie because not only is it delicious (one of the best molasses cookies around) but it is also it is dairy free. I am trying to cut down on my dairy intake due to a milk protein allergy as well as lactose intolerance. I felt like this was a great treat that I could safely eat without irritating either of these problems. I have collected some recipes online that claim to be clones of Starbucks Molasses Cookies or to be pretty similar. I think this might be the closest I will get to these cookies again. If anyone knows of a place that sells these cookies or a similar cookie, please let me know. Also, feel free to share your molasses cookie recipes.

I have to test these recipes and will report when I finally find my perfect match.

  1. I NEVER go to Starbucks. Went today and had THE BEST cookie I have EVER tasted. THE Molasses Ginger. I myself wanted to blog about how fantastic it is and when searching for a good pic up popped your blog!! So you can find these cookies in Saint John, NB (Canada!) I also copied the "fooler recipie" and I'm going to try it this weekend :)
